Please see below a list of frequently asked questions. If you have any questions that are not listed then please do not hesitate to contact the hotels reception.

Are All Your Bedrooms En-Suite?

Yes, all bedrooms in the hotel have en-suite toilets and an en-suite bath or shower.

Are Children Allowed?

Yes children are welcome to stay in the hotel and children may sit in the bar when accompanied by an adult.

Are You Disabled Friendly?

The hotel does offer disabled toilet facilities and escorted disabled access to the ground floor restaurant, function and bar areas via the service entrance and rear garden – unfortunately due to the age of the building and it’s grade 2 listing status; we are unable to offer lift access to the first floor accommodation and do not offer any ground floor accommodation.

Do You Allow Pets?

Yes the hotel does allow pets, however there is a surcharge of £10 per night for dogs. Pets on leads are allowed throughout the hotel, including the bar, garden and accommodation/communal areas, but not within the restaurant.

Do You Have A 24 Hour Front Desk?

Reception is available 24 hours a day and can be reached via extension number 200.

Do You Offer Free Parking?

The hotel has limited free parking available, which is offered on a first come first serve basis. The hotel also has a large pay and display car park which is free from 6pm until 8am and free all day Sunday. Prices for the pay and display car park vary from £0.30 for one hour to £4.50 all day. The car benefits from a smart ticket machine that ensures that guests are not charged during the free hours, which automatically carries over into the next day.

Is Housekeeping Included In The Room Rate?

Yes, daily housekeeping is included in all our room rates and all rooms are made up by our housekeepers on a daily basis. Should you not wish for housekeeping to attend to your room during your stay then please place the sign provided on the front handle of your bedroom door.

Is Linen Provided?

The hotels housekeeping team will service your room daily unless requested otherwise, all rooms include bed linen and towels which are installed by the housekeeping team.

Is There A Minimum Stay?

There is no minimum stay at The Hotel and guests can book for a single night. Rooms are available to be booked by the hour at the management’s discretion, for events such as meetings, interviews and on location filming/photography.

What Are The Bar Opening Hours?

The bar is open until at least 11pm Monday to Saturday and 10.30pm on Sunday. The bar may also be kept open later at the request of guests and at the management’s discretion.

What Are The Kitchen & Restaurant Opening Hours?

Monday: 6.00pm to 9.30pm
Tuesday to Saturday: 11.30am to 2.30pm & 6.oopm to 9.30pm
Sunday: Closed

What Breakfast Services Do You Offer

We offer a full english cooked breakfast, cooked to order, all week except Monday. There is also a micro-continental option offered throughout the week, which includes a selection of meats, cheeses, croissants, toast, cereals and yoghurts. Breakfast is served in the restaurant and is fully waited by our front of house staff.

What Facilities Are In The Local Area?

We are located in the centre of Amesbury, which is the oldest settlement in the UK. Amesbury offers a variety of bar, restaurants and small shops. We are also the closest hotel to Stonehenge, which is 2 miles up the road from the hotels front door. Just a 15 minute bus journey up the road is Salisbury, which is a medieval city boasting a cathedral and various shops. We are a 45 minute drive from the coast and 45 minutes by train (via Salisbury or Andover) from London.

What Food Do You Serve?

The hotel benefits from a Thai Restaruant and also offers a comprehensive bar menu with many favourite dishes on, such as afternoon tea, sandwiches and traditional english food.

What Room Types Do You Offer?

All of our bedrooms are en-suite. We currently offer single, double, twin and family suites (1 Double + 1 Single or 1 Double + 2 Single) variants in economy, standard and deluxe configurations.

What Time Is Check In and Check Out?

Check in is from 2pm and checkout is 11am. Early checkins and late checkouts can normally be accommodated subject to availability, however please arrange this with reception prior to your arrival. The hotel is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and has a live-in night porter on call during hours where the bar is closed.
